Bendix Stables

Bendix Stables (formally known as The Stables) has had a lick of paint and a new lease of life. Taken over by new business owners in July 2019 and named after and paying homage to the original owner, the iconic historical building primarily built to house Bendix Hallenstein's horses way back in 1873. It is now a bustling and charming gastropub and the choice for locals and visitors alike to come together, eat good food and socialise. We stock and support local breweries and wineries and our food is created by local Chef Ben Jones. His extensive and colorful experience includes head chef roles at The Millhouse restaurant at Millbrook Resort and Chop Shohere in Arrowntown, Fishbone Bar and Grill in Queenstown and The Goring Hotel in London.
